I illustrated another map of the U.S for Slate!
A sweet for every state: http://www.slate.com/articles/life/food/2014/08/united_sweets_of_america_map_a_dessert_for_every_state_in_the_country.html
Some people have questioned me about a few of the choices on the map, but keep in mind, I didn’t write the article or make the choices! I just got hungry drawing it.
You can see my previous sports map here.
“My father was very strict growing up. He’d never give me any space. If I tried to cut school with my friends, he’d call my teachers to ask how I did in class that day. I resented it at the time, but today I’m thankful for it. Because all my friends who never got caught are not doing too well today.”
i’m very thankful that my parents caught up with me cutting basically ALL of my classes junior year of highschool. when i finally showed up to english class, i’d been given special immunity from the teacher and allowed to turn in my papers in the form of short films and other art projects. changed my life, i learned that no rules are permanent.
