I like smart, attractive, and confident things.
Okay I am legit thrilled with this! The only problem I can see so far is that of taking time out to blink and then missing something. If you can pause it in some way by tapping or clicking or whateves that would be helpful for when people walk up and interrupt you. I think the blinking thing probably works out once you work out the length of pauses and sort of get the timing right in your own head.
This is really, seriously excellent. I am fucking excited about this.
edit: UGH NO I’M DEAD SERIOUS. I got up to 550 wpm and this is just super exciting. It’s like THIS is the thing I have been waiting for. I never bought a nook or a Kindle or anything. THIS is the tech I have been waiting for. Not something that does the reading for you — audiobooks are well and good, but they take the same amount of time as your own reading. Or, well. My own reading.
BUT THIS is what we fucking need. We need to zip through books faster. Through everything faster. I don’t know if I can handle more than 550 wpm right now but I’m gonna keep trying and even at 550 it’s still so much more rapid than I’ve ever read in my life. This is fantastic.
Okay, I just bumped it up to 600. I can see how you’d get used to this and it would get easier.
I’M REALLY GODDAMN EXCITED.
”Now for the million dollar question.”
"Did you break the foot while riding the unicycle?"
"No, I didn’t."
"OH MAN, I thought I was going to have a great caption."
"Well, there is good news."
"I broke it playing Quidditch."
"Incredibly attractive Slytherin unicyclist with a broken foot" is an actual combination of words to describe a real person. Earth is ridiculous and wonderful.
no way. steel cannot be rated this high.
To celebrate the last day of our “22 Days Of Invention” series, we wanted to give something back to the Tumblrverse. So, we had our friends at Tattly print temporary tattoos of Thomas Edison’s lightbulb patent.
Hit us up with some fan mail if you want one. We only printed a limited run, so first come, first served. The fine print says you must be 18 or over and a resident of the U.S. for us to send you one. Additionally, Tumblr didn’t endorse, administer or sponsor these tats, and only the GE social media team will receive participant information.
